Square Hammer
We channeled german expressionist silent films like Nosferatu and Metropolis, as well as 1930s horror films to create the style for both Ghost videos. I figured out how to create the look, I made an entire cityscape in photoshop and after effects, I did the backgrounds, compositing, animation and special effects. It won the Loudwire Award for Best Music Video of 2016 and has Over 131 million views.
Show Me a Leader
We channeled Ralph Bakshi for the look, and Geroge Orwell for the subtext. I engineered the style, created backgrounds and photoshop assets, handled animation, acquired textures and stock footage and most notably assembled and animated the 3D rigged tank that turned into a debate stage in the first 30 seconds.
Embers
A foray into Lo-fi surrealism. I was the VFX supervisor for this, under my direction the house is a miniature that was built to come apart, filmed flying away on green screen with green suits, and all composited together with after effects. The first 30 seconds were my direction. I did mainly compositing and animation, and also assisted with shoots. Done on an insanely tight deadline.
Pinnacle to the Pit
The beginning of the world we built in Square Hammer. I did animation, compositing, photoshop asset-creation, backgrounds, and style. Notable scenes by me are the elevator shaft at 1:28 and just about everything after 3:08.
Tormented by Atrocities
I co-edited this one and handled post production, acquiring b-roll, and effects.
Messe Noir
First time working with director Zev Deans. I helped with compositing as well as CGI water and space scenes.
